Firies Climb for MND Blue Mountains - Gavin Clifton
Story
#FiriesClimbforMND - BLUE MOUNTAINS is back.
Please join me, Gavin Clifton on SATURDAY 17 SEPTEMBER as I attempt my most ambitious challenge yet. I will tackle the gruelling Furber Stairs from Scenic World in Katoomba - for 16 consecutive hours. Starting at midnight on Friday and finishing at 4pm on Saturday. It's 951 steps down and 951 steps up!
I encourage everyone to support me in one or more of the following ways:
- as a runner to challenge yourself to take on some stairs
- as a spectator/supporter on the day at Scenic World
- as a donor, make a donation
- as an influencer - spread the word on social media and word of mouth
This challenge is hard, but not as hard as MND which is a progressive, terminal neurological disease. It affects the nerve cells (neurones) controlling the muscles that enable us to move, speak, breathe and swallow, causing them the degenerate and die.
So, to raise funds and much greater awareness for MND, we'd love your support. Please donate generously. Please support me on Saturday by running the stairs with me, or just by coming to Scenic World to soak up the atmosphere and cheer myself and my fellow runners on. Every donation is a step towards a world without MND.
